The body holds physical space for hundreds of Chakras, spinning energy wheels that allow energy to flow and store the energetic imprints of our experiences. But the seven main Chakras, lined up along the spine, act as energetic mirrors for seven major components of our being.
Each Chakra has its own spiritual and physical resonance, including a corresponding color, emotion, characteristic, age, and physical organ or body part. By understanding the Chakras, we open the door to healing on all levels. If you aren't familiar with the Chakras, click here.
Although we all know the importance of self-care, and we are taught to practice self-Reiki daily and ensure our energy remains clear, sometimes we don't know how to maintain our own energetic hygiene! Activating the energy of your Chakras is crucial to your healing, which is why this blog post contains 14 prompts to catalyze your healing- 2 prompts for each Chakra.
This blog post follows the pattern of a labyrinth, beginning from the Heart and spiraling outward, ending with Root. Each Chakra has two prompts: An Action Catalyst to get your energy moving and give you a tangible way to connect with your Chakra, and a Wisdom Catalyst to find your Chakra affirmation.

Heart Chakra
When we heal from the heart, we allow ourselves to connect with love, compassion, and balance, and release stagnant energy that we have been holding on to from the past.
Action Catalyst: Practice meditating in Gassho for 15 minutes, feeling the energy circulate from your heart, down your right arm, across your hands, and up your left arm. Send your breath along the circle as you visualize.

Throat Chakra
When we spiral out from the Heart, it's important to remember that words are the first manifestation. Whether they are words of compassion, forgiveness, or Truth, the energy that we released from the Heart needs a place to be released out of the body.
Action Catalyst: Sing or chant! We highly recommend turning on a Beautiful Chorus song and singing along to activate your Throat Chakra.

Solar Plexus Chakra
Solar Plexus is where we begin to form our identity, coming to understand that we are Divine beings having a human experience. Solar Plexus teaches us who we are and what our purpose is.
Action Catalyst: Shake your whole body! Fling your arms, kick your legs, and ignite the fire within as you release what no longer serves you and bring in the spark of heat to your soul. Practice forceful exhales, and be aware of the heat that builds up within your torso as you do this.

Third Eye Chakra
Third Eye allows us to see how our purpose, passion, and identity fits in to the greater framework of our lives. In Third Eye Chakra, we begin to see the big picture, and come to understand our place in the world, both physically and spiritually.
Action Catalyst: Take a deep breath, and tune in to your body. Start to envision your timeline, and notice where the future is. Visualize yourself walking down the timeline, 6 months into the future, then stop and see what comes up for you here. What are you doing? How do you feel? Who are you with? Take stock of this 6 month image, and allow what needs to come up to unfold.

Sacral Chakra
Sacral Chakra is the realm of creativity. With the knowledge of our purpose in Solar Plexus and the understanding of the big picture from Third Eye, Sacral Chakra gives us the tools to make our passions and dreams a reality.
Action Catalyst: Visualize yourself as water, flowing in waves. Allow your body to move in a fluid fashion, swirling your arms, swaying your hips. You can even give yourself a hug here. Allow the movement of the wave to carry your body with it, and stay in this Sacral Chakra dance for 5-10 minutes.

Crown Chakra
Crown Chakra is where we reconnect with our Divine nature, coming to understand the unity of all things. Just as Third Eye showed us the big picture vision for our purpose, Crown Chakra shows us the big picture vision for our lives, showing us how our existence fits in to the greater existence of all that is.
Action Catalyst: Call to mind the vision you saw in your Third Eye meditation. Encapsulate it in a Reiki bubble, holding it in your palms as if you were looking at it through a crystal ball. Then visualize it clicking into place on our timeline, sealing it in with Reiki love and light, knowing that it is now part of your future.

Root Chakra
Root Chakra is where we fully embody our human selves, bringing our Divinity down to the Earth level. When we connect with Root Chakra, we find our stability and center, and we fully embody the Divine being in this human experience.
Action Catalyst: Walk barefoot out in the grass, stomping your feet and feeling solid in your stance. Bonus points if you can find moist dirt to sink your feet in to!
