So, how do you do that? Below, we're sharing our top five tips for each Chakra, to help you navigate the holidays and create those joyful moments your soul craves! Let's dive in.
Sacral Chakra is our source of creativity, and holds the space for our Inner Child. Governed by the element of water, Sacral Chakra is all about flowing with life, being present, and expressing yourself. This soft, feminine energy center brings a nurturing energy to the holiday season. To reconnect with that peaceful, nurturing, creative energy, try these tips!
- Nurture your Inner Child! The holidays are a time when families, communities, and friends come together. With new and old connections being rekindled, it's only natural to feel triggered. Spend some time with your Inner Child this holiday season. Ask yourself what your Inner Child needs, or needed, and go do it, whether it's having a snowball fight, baking cookies, or just taking a nap. Take a moment to honor your Inner Child and their needs!
- Drink more water! Sacral Chakra is governed by the element of water, and the more you can bring water into your daily life, the happier your Sacral Chakra will be! Not to mention to physical benefits of staying hydrated, try incorporating a few extra glasses into your days! bonus points for adding some orange juice or essential oils for an added Sacral Chakra twist.
- Be creative! Sacral Chakra is the realm of creativity, the space where divine inspiration flows through you into manifest form here on Earth. Try to find ways to honor your nature as a Divine creative being this holiday season! Do a craft, decorate a cookie, or make a popcorn garland! find new ways to express yourself and bring that Sacral chakra joy to the season.
- Engage in some fluid, gentle movement. We support our wellbeing through Root Chakra by being mindful of the foods we eat. To support your wellbeing through Sacral Chakra, incorporate some mindful movement into your routine! Whether this is a yoga flow, or turning on your favorite Christmas song and dancing around the house, find ways to move your body that honor the fluid nature of Sacral Chakra.
- Take a warm shower or bath! Not only does this bring the water element back into your day, it also gives you a space to wash away any energies that you've been carrying around this holiday season. Find some time to take a hot shower or bath, and visualize the water washing away all the energy, cleansing your body and your spirit. Bonus points for playing with essential oils, epsom salts, or turning off the lights to be fully present.
Heart Chakra is all about love, both giving and receiving. Heart Chakra calls us to find more balance in our lives, to temper the energy we give to others with an ability to receive energy in return. Just as Solar Plexus is about knowing yourself and saying 'no' to things that don't align with you, Heart Chakra is all about knowing you are worthy of receiving the same love you give to others, and saying 'yes' to you.
- Know your worth. The holiday season can often trigger that age-old limiting belief: I'm not worthy. Not worthy of receiving gifts, not worthy of enjoying myself, not worthy for taking some 'me-time'. Honors your Heart Chakra by deciding that you are worthy. Pull out a journal and write down all the reasons why you are worthy- and what you love most about yourself. Know your worth this holiday season so that you can spend time being present, instead of worrying about if you even deserve the joy this time of year can bring.
- Say 'Yes'! Solar Plexus encouraged us to say no, to know ourselves and set boundaries. Heart Chakra encourages us to say yes! Say yes to you. what you want to do, who you want to be with, and how you want to act. Now that you know your worth, honor it! Share your love with the world, but don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and experience this season fully. Say yes to you!
- Let yourself be enough. It's okay to not want what everyone else wants. It's okay to want a smaller Christmas, or a bigger gathering, or a different food, or to let go of a tradition that's just causing you stress. The holidays can be a time when we try to meet expectations that are based on a fantasy, not a reality. So let yourself be enough. Like what you like. Do what you want to do. See who you want to see. and let that be enough. Honor yourself and what you want and know that through it all- you are enough.
- Let yourself receive! The holiday season is all about giving. But that giving spirit can have an unintended consequence. How often have you felt guilty about receiving this time of year? Heart Chakra is all about balance- giving and receiving. So this holiday season, let yourself be open to receiving the same love and energy you are putting out into the world. Let yourself feel the love, eat the cookie, and enjoy a present or two. Your Heart Chakra will thank you.
- Extra hugs! Through the pandemic, we all found ourselves starved for human connection. social distancing made human contact almost impossible, and our Heart Chakra suffered for it. Hugs allow us to create a literal heart-to-heart connection with someone and nurture the loving energy of our central Chakra. So this holiday season, pile in! Spread the holiday cheer with a few extra hugs and set your Heart Chakra ablaze with yuletide cheer.
In addition to intuition, Third Eye Chakra is the center of our perception and mindset. Third Chakra is the center of our thoughts, and governs our outlook on life. This is the realm of, 'Your thoughts create your reality.' What we perceive in the Third Eye becomes the reality we see play out in our lives. Third Eye is all about getting clear on the thoughts you think, and creating a space in your mind and your energy that reflects the life you want to be living.
- Watch your thoughts! Third Eye Chakra is the center of our thoughts, the place where our mental world takes shape to influence our physical world. This holiday season, be mindful of the thoughts you think! It's easy to get caught up in negativity or stress when there is so much going on, but remember that your thoughts create your reality. If the thoughts in your head became your reality, would you be happy? Practice a little extra mindfulness this holiday season and create the holiday joy from inside out.
- Get a clear perspective! With the hustle and bustle of the season, it's easy to find ourselves in a muddle of half-finished thoughts. Our perception can be strongly influenced by those around us. So honor your third Eye by staying clear in your perception. Notice how you are judging or perceiving the situation, world, or season! Get clear on whether these perceptions are your or someone else's, and if they aren't yours, get clear on what you really think. Get clear on what you want out of this holiday season, and commit to staying in that clarity as you move about your day.
- Command your reality! Now that you've been watching your thoughts and have gotten clear on what you want out of this season, command it! Command your reality. Third Eye Chakra is where manifestations begin. That energy enters through the Crown and has to be integrated through the Third Eye. Your thoughts become your reality, so command your reality by knowing what you want, committing to thinking thoughts that align with the vision, and then stepping into your day with actions that support your dreams! Get clear this holiday season and remember the power of intention. Set yourself up for success by knowing like you know like you know how this holiday season is going to go.
- Cultivate your spiritual practice! Third Eye Chakra is the center of our intuition, where our spiritual selves first integrate into our physical bodies. Remember to honor your spiritual side this holiday season! Whether that means meditating in the mornings, using essential oils during the day, or journaling at night, find a routine that feels right for you, and cultivate a regular routine that will support your third Eye, and your energy, throughout the season! And remember- anything, even vacuuming, can be spiritual. It's all about your mindset. If you see vacuuming as a chance to cleanse your space, suddenly it changes from a mundane chore to a spiritual practice. Have fun finding what feels right for you this holiday season!
- Grab a crystal! Anyone who's dabbled in the energetic world knows the comfort that comes when you hold the crystal that was meant for you. the tingles all over your body, the sense of peace, the clarity of your energy field. To support your third Eye, find a crystal that gives you that sense of connection and peace, and carry it with you- whether that on a necklace, in your pocket, or tucked into your bra. Bringing the energetic clarity of a crystal with you throughout the day will help keep you vibrating high while still staying grounded in the present moment.
