As we step into a new century of Reiki, what's coming next for this healing modality?
March 2022 marks 100 years since Mikao Usui journeyed up Mount Kurama and received the original Reiki symbols and teachings. Reiki has shaped our lives from that moment, showing us how to hold space for ourselves and others while walking the path to spiritual healing.
The past 100 years have seen Reiki evolve in beautiful ways as we explore what the energy means for our lives, practices, and healing. Fueled by the symbols, hand positions, precepts, and traditions, Reiki energy has taken us on a journey of awakening.
As a Universal energy, Reiki calls us to come back to our fundamental energies and our true natures. When we channel Reiki, we come back into connection with the energy that unites us all, and open ourselves to healing by remembering our true natures as Divine beings having a human experience.
When you listen to the precepts, they are calling you to come back to your inner stillness. To connect with your Inner Being, so that the true nature of your energy may flow freely. In this way, Reiki is a modality that calls you to return to your true nature as the energy that is in all things.
We have learned so much about ourselves, and the nature of our presence here on Earth, over the past 100 years. I don’t believe there is a single practitioner or Reiki enthusiast who would say that Reiki did not change their lives. When you allow yourself to open up to the energy of the Universe, you allow yourself to open up to miracles and healing from the inside out.
But we know that the nature of the Universe is to expand and evolve. Every atom, element, and being on Earth is designed to evolve, grow, and change, and our relationship with Reiki and healing is no different.
As spiritual beings having a human experience, we are designed to walk into the unknown, explore new opportunities, and open new doors to healing and understanding. Here at ReikiCafe, innovation is one of our top values, and it's something we try to uphold in every one of our blogs, podcasts, and courses.
ReikiCafe was created to be a community of passionate practitioners dedicated to their healing and learning to hold space for the healing of others. We don’t look at lineage. We ditch the guru paradigms. We work to liberate the frameworks that hold us back from seeing our True natures.
And so as we walk into a new century of Reiki healing, we can feel a change coming. A shift in the way the world views healing. We don’t want to meet our clients on one level. We want to meet them exactly as they are, mind, body, and soul.
We want to acknowledge them for their truth and experience while also understanding that Reiki can be a catalyst for spiritual understanding. Walking the path of Reiki means walking the path of remembering. Remembering our truth, our power, and our healing.
But that remembering doesn’t just happen on one level. It happens on all levels. Reiki creates shifts in the energy, changing the energetic blueprint and clearing away what no longer serves us.
But we still have a mind, and we still have a body.
Coaching is the catalyst for healing in the mind. When we allow ourselves to look honestly and deeply at our mental states, attitudes, limiting beliefs, and past experiences, we open the door for healing on a deeper level. Without clearing out our subconscious wounds, we will never be able to heal fully.
The Chakras act as a bridge between the two, bringing healing to our bodies. When we allow ourselves to open our energy to Reiki, and open our minds to Coaching, we create real, tangible shifts in our physical and energetic realities. These shifts are directly experienced through the Chakras, seven different lenses through which healing can be accessed and unlocked.
This next era of Reiki isn’t about throwing away the old, or ‘updating’ what we already have. It’s about integration! The recognition of the value and impact Reiki has in our healing, and integrating it with new modalities to create a masterful practice that can heal on all levels. Which is why we created Reiki coaching, a seven-month experience designed to take you on a journey like no other. As you journey through the Chakras, you will be trained to see Reiki energy through new eyes, understanding your hidden power as you connect with your inner Truth, reconnect with Reiki, unlock the power of your Chakras, and become certified as a Reiki Coach.
It is a privilege and an honor to be taking the lessons and modalities of the past and merging them with the wisdom of the present. When we allow ourselves to integrate and innovate, we open the door to a new era of Reiki healing.
