Starting a successful Reiki business requires more than just knowledge and skills in energy healing. It also requires the right mindset to attract clients, build a strong reputation, and achieve long-term success. As Reiki practitioners, we know that energy forms the blueprint for our physical reality. We can do all the work to set up our business in the physical realms (getting our business license, putting out flyers, networking), but until we are aligned in our energy and clear in our mindset, success will continue to be hard to reach. Here are the top 5 mindset tips that can help you create a thriving Reiki business.
1. Change Your Perception of Time
We often get caught up in society's perception of time. Everything from New Year's resolutions to picking out food for the week at the grocery store pushes us out of the present and into the future. We gather beliefs about how our productivity only functions between the hours of 9-5, and subconsciously place our worth in how much we can force ourselves to produce during daylight hours.
Mass consciousness perceives time as a rigid structure, something that binds us to this physical reality and limits how much we can achieve. However, when we look at time through a spiritual or metaphysical lens, we realize that time isn't a rigid structure- it is a fluid representation of energy and when we can free ourselves from feeling limited by time, we open ourselves to expanded potentials for success. To start this process, check out our Energetics of Time podcast episode. Then, start looking at your own beliefs around time. Were you taught that time is limited, that we're running out of time, and that time is money, etc.? How often do you feel stressed about time? What beliefs do you have about which hours in the day you 'should' be working? When we question our beliefs and open ourselves up to understanding time is just energy in motion, we create space in our days to play with and bend time.
2. Release Your Limiting Money Beliefs
Just like we accumulate limiting beliefs about time, we also accumulate limiting beliefs around money. We grow up hearing that money doesn't grow on trees, money is the root of all evil, and you have to work hard for money.
Whether we agree with this or wish to see a change, money currently forms the basis of our society, and creates strong emotions. So long as we hold on to internal resistance and tension around money, we will never be able to welcome in success.
It's important to do the internal work to create a calm, open, and knowledgable understanding about our relationship with and perception of money in order to create a successful business. Investing in courses like our Reiki and Manifesting Abundance course, which specifically addresses healing your limiting money beliefs, can create huge shifts in your business.
Begin by asking yourself what you believe about money. Looking at which beliefs you have accumulated about money, who passed those beliefs on to you, and if those beliefs are serving you can often be enough to create significant change in your approach to business.
3. Redefine What Success Means to You
4. Know Your Worth
If you believe, at your core, that you are unworthy or undeserving of success, you will find ways to subconsciously self-sabotage success. If we feel unworthy, we will create a reality that affirms this belief.
We need to do the work to release and heal our limiting beliefs around self-worth. This is a constant, life-long process, but if we want to achieve success personally or professionally, we must first believe we are worthy to receive it.

5. Give Yourself Permission to Step Outside the Box As Reiki practitioners, we were called to this spiritual path by our intuitions. We take a leap of faith and trust that the Universe will guide us along our healing journey, but when we start to consider starting our business, we suddenly lose faith in our intuitive abilities.
We start to question whether our intuition really has the answers when we need to file taxes, procure a business license, grow a client base, and find a space for our practice. We begin looking to other people for examples of how to create a successful business and believe that their 'Ten Steps to Success' will also be our ten steps to success.
But just as our Reiki path called us to step outside the realm of conventional medicine and mass consciousness, we also need to give ourselves permission to step outside the box in our Reiki business! We are all unique healers and practitioners, and no one's business journey will look the same as another practitioner's. When we give ourselves permission to do things differently, we give our intuition the power to guide us as we move forward. Our intuition is just as capable of guiding us to a successful practice as it is of guiding us through our healing journey, but we need to allow ourselves to trust the guidance we receive. Give yourself permission to place your trust in your intuition and approach your business from a heart-centered space, and watch as magic unfolds. What are your Reiki business dreams?
