The Solar Plexus Chakra is located above the naval. It is the energy center in the Chakra system that governs your self esteem and will power.
This Chakra is associated with the color yellow. Yellow is vibrant and brilliant like the sun. It is the color of aliveness and empowerment.
Solar- for the Sun, the element of fire, which burns in us is motivating us to move along our path toward success and achievement.

When this Chakra is balanced, a person may experience healthy digestion, confidence, a sense of purpose, and the will to do things that will lead to fulfillment in all areas of life.
When this Chakra is out of balance, one may experience physical symptoms of digestive issues such as diabetes, weight gain, excessive eating, and other digestive issues. An imbalance of this Chakra may also cause a person to feel depressed, unmotivated, unable to make decisions, and have low self-esteem.

Building strength in the physical body through movement and exercise is a great way to activate the Solar Plexus Chakra.
Yoga is a great way to heal all Chakras, particularly the Solar Plexus. Through movement and exercise of all kind, one can find balance in this energy center. Core work and engaging the abdominals activates the energy flow through the Solar Plexus. Walking outside in the sun is a beautiful way to connect with the fire element and stimulate energy flow here as well.
Reiki and other energy work is beneficial to activate and heal the energy centers, so look for energy workers in your area who can help with Chakra balancing.
